How to enter
To receive an automatic entry into the draw, entrants must visit
www.theglobalpoll.com
between 10 am on Tuesday, 12 May 2009 (AEST) and 11:59 pm on Monday, 18 May 2009 (AEST) and vote on one or multiple polls. To be allowed to vote, entrants must have become a registered voter by following the prompts to the registration page and including the requested details.
To gain additional entries into the draw, the entrant may vote on multiple polls. The entrant will receive an additional entry for each poll they have voted on.
Terms and conditions
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
- Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 13 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
- ‘Promotion Period’ means the period commencing on 12/05/2009 at 10 am AEST and closing at 11:59 pm AEST on 18/05/2009.
- Entrants are allowed to vote on multiple polls, but only once on each poll.
- The entrant will receive an additional entry for each poll they have voted on. Although voting more than once increases the entrants’ chances to win, the name of the winner will be drawn at random through a computer-generated selection.

during the promotional period, register as a voter by following the prompt and including the required details and vote on one or multiple polls between 10 am on Tuesday, 12 May 2009 (AEST) and 11:59 pm on Monday, 18 May 2009 (AEST).
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Entries close at 11:59 pm AEST on 18/05/2009. The draw will take place at The Global Poll Unit Trust, L32, 101 Miller St, Nth Sydney 2060 at 10 am AEST on 19/05/2009. The winner will be notified by email on 19/05/2009 at 2 pm AEST. All times indicated are Sydney Local Time. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

- If for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash.
- The Promoter is conducting additional competitions and draws and the total prize pool value is AUD$6,519. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
- The Promoter may conduct further draws at the same time and place as the original draw, as are necessary on 22/05/2009 in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
- If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from the regulatory authority.
- If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
- Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall render an entry invalid.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
- All entries remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Entrants' information will also be used in accordance with The Global Poll privacy policy available at
www.theglobalpoll.com/privacy.aspx. Entrants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory Lottery Departments and winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
